Today I made the base more robust. This will help support the sculpture as soon as I add the wings
I am also having different ideas of what the texture of the base should be like. In ‘The Call of Cthulhu’ Lovecraft describes the idol of Cthulhu as made of stone. In modern concepts of the idol, the base is usually done with straight sides and sometimes has archaic writing on it. I think i might do an uneven surface for my base, and maybe do some research into real life rock textures.
