This part of the drawing is proving the most difficult. My intention is to create the impression of a spurt of foam in a stormy sea. I will have to look at more online images for reference.
i am however pleased with how it is looking so far. Very often I have discovered that the initial version of the drawing is the best. Its like the longer I have the concept in my head, my ability to draw it well decreases. Maybe I get tired of the concept very quickly so I cant put as much effort into it as I did at the start. No, I doubt it. I’m not sure. One thing I have not sorted out yet, is how the surface and texture of the sea will blend into that of the diamond. How am I going to craft this bizarre dreamscape, where geometric patterns exist in a place where they should not?
