More Purple and Blue and Turquoise
I will add some darkness around the edges of the body. This will hopefully make the scales look shinier. My colour beetle has been selling well so here we are, on the step of the journey. Colour is important for showmanship; I want to be more bold with my market stall, more eye catching.
This drawings coming along nicely. I really like the colour combination. I have to do a more fantastical version of this artwork sometime: something akin in to Dagon in HP Lovecraft’s story ‘The Shadow Over Innsmouth”. I don’t know about you, but I love supernatural horror combined with this green, purple and blue colour scheme. I think a supernatural version of this fish, maybe something based on a stonefish with its weird spikes, would look fantastic. Its the funny thing about fish: they seem to be ugly, yet beautiful at the same time. Lovecraft seems to have been very repulsed and fascinated by them, as he was repulsed by many things.
