I continued sculpting and painting my orrery. I used ‘green stuff’ kneadatite modelling putty. In the middle globe attached two more eyes, so they are all facing in opposite directions. This I think gives a symmetry to the sculpture which it wouldn’t have if the eyes were all facing in the same direction, or were all on the same side of the globe.

I may also sculpt the globes to make them more circular and uniform. There is are the arms upon which the globes are suspended to consider aswell. They wobble about because they are not completely fastened down. I can use hot glue to do this. Another thing I did today was to keep adding the black undercoat. It is incredible how much better looking the paint job is if there is absolutely no bare sculpting material showing through. However from now on I think it would be good practice to finish the sculpting before doing anymore painting. I could also photograph this sculpture and then create some horror art prints for sale.
