The Devils Texture

I started painting over the milliput sections of the sculpture

I forget to put the glue and stones on first. So having painted the first layer, I intermingled the stones with the acrylic paint. Its essentially the same method but using acrylic paint rather than glue. The visual differece is very minimal. This project will be a test of how well milliput interacts with other materials. The milliput has been sculpted onto foam board. Will it grip the foam board enough not to fall off over time. Also, like green stuff, the miliput is intentend for much smaller projects, like sculpting wargames miniatures. It would have been more economical to pershaps put some paper over the side of the base and then cover that with the glue and stones. However the milliput does give weight to the sculpture which is good for a feeling of realism.

For the colour scheme of the stone, I have decided the green sheen will be much better than the orange sheen. It will give the sense that the stone has interacted with water mote often which is good for the Lovecraftian theme. The green sheen could be like algae; small aquatic life forms that adhere themselves to stone.
